I bought this because it came so highly recommended. My 5lb semi feral evil cat loved the catnip and found the tin foil ball inside was interesting for a day.

Too bad cats are so contrary that what one loves another will regard as insulting. My cats are average sized, 10 lbs, but the OSH is long & lean. He is able to get in a good shredding on this scratcher, as does the shorter but chunkier girl. I still catch one or the other having a go at the carpet but no damage - they save serious shredding for cardboard. For the price it's worth a try and don't forget to add some catnip.
