If you are working on very small items the 10X is ok but for general soldering of connectors the magnification is too extreme. Great for circuit boards and micro soldering though.

I love these things because I wear glasses, and they fit over my glasses with no problems. They just flip up easily so I can switch between magnification and regular vision easily.
