• HISTORY OF SPANISH TRAINING SHIP JUAN SEBASTIAN ELCANO Discover the Juan Sebastian Elcano made by Artesania Latina, the wooden and plastic model of this representative Spanish schooner brig sailboat. It is named so after the Spanish explorer Juan Sebastian Elcano, captain of the expedition -after the death of Fernando de Magallanes- completed the first circumnavigation of the world in 1522.

• It was the most powerful ship of the time in terms of power, not exceeded until a century and a half later by the USS Constitution, one of the first American frigates. The Vasa ship sailed with 1,200 tons of weight and its sails area was 1,150 m2 (80 tons).
